On Monday, January 20th, President Trump began his second term in a very intentional way. His inaugural ceremony, which included an invocation from North Carolina’s Reverend Franklin Graham, reinforced messages that he has been promising throughout his campaign. Shortly after the ceremony concluded, he began signing executive orders to make good on those promises. Some of the most notable include:
- Ending the weaponization of government against pro-life advocates;
- Keeping men out of women’s intimate spaces, sports fields, and prisons;
- Restoring “biological truth” to government and defining a man and woman on the basis of biological sex;
- Restoring freedom of speech and ending federal censorship; and
- Eliminating “discriminatory” policies such as DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) mandates.
NC Family is encouraged to see an administration stand up for these values, and we pray that this will continue throughout the four years of his term and beyond. Mitch Prosser, Vice President of NC Family, shares, “The impact of President Trump’s day-one Executive Orders will be felt by families here in North Carolina. This common-sense approach to life, family values, and the protection of our children is a much-needed change to the radical progressive agenda that we’ve witnessed over the last several years. We are hopeful that these Executive Orders reveal a return to the bolstering of Biblical values and are continually praying for President Trump and his administration.”
We invite you to join us in praying for President Trump, Vice President Vance, and all of our elected leaders!
