NC Family Leads Delegation to Stand for Religious Liberty at U.S. Supreme Court Today!

Before most of us turned over in our beds last night, a busload of North Carolina citizens were gathered in Raleigh at 4 a.m. to board a bus en route to the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington D.C. NC Family staff and these individuals from all across the state are spending today at the Supreme Court showing their support for religious liberty and for Jack Phillips, the namesake of the  Masterpiece Cakeshop case. The Justices are hearing oral arguments in the landmark religious liberty case this morning between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Please join NC Family and this delegation of dedicated citizens as we pray for the outcome of this case, which many believe could be as significant with respect to religious liberty as Roe v. Wade was on the issue of life—hopefully in a positive direction.

Please pray:

  • That God would grant wisdom to our U.S. Supreme Court Justices;
  • That God would enable attorneys at Alliance Defending Freedom who are representing Jack Phillips to present clear and convincing arguments, and that those arguments would be influential with the Justices;
  • That those gathered outside the U.S. Supreme Court building would communicate their support with grace and faithfulness;
  • Pease also pray for Jack Phillips and the many others all around the country who are involved in similar cases and who could be affected by the outcome of this case.

Although the Masterpiece Cakeshop case is being heard in the high court today, it will be several months before they issue a ruling. Please continue to pray for a positive outcome in the months to come.

Transcripts of today’s arguments will be available fairly soon, although no one knows how quickly. You can keep any eye on scotusblog.com for updates.  And follow NC Family on Facebook and Twitter for more information as it becomes available.
