Election day is only a week away! This election is one of the most important in our state’s history, so sitting this one out is simply not an option. Here are a couple of important dates and tips to make sure you can exercise your right and responsibility to vote!
- Same-Day Registration: If you are not registered to vote, it is not too late to do so. You can still register in person at any early voting locationduring the early voting period, which ends this Saturday, November 5. In order to register, you must have proof of residence, which can come in the form of either a valid photo ID (drivers license, government ID, student ID); OR a copy of a utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document showing your name and address. Same-Day registration will not be available on Election Day; so if you are not registered, be sure to get to the polls during Early Voting. You can find more information about Same-Day Registration at the State Board of Elections (SBOE) Website.
And it’s not too late to get informed so you can vote your values. You can go to the NCFamilyVoter.com to view your personalized NC Family Voter Guide.
