Join us in praying for the communities impacted by Hurricane Helene

Over the weekend, Hurricane Helene left a wake of devastation as it traveled up the eastern United States. Thousands of people have been severely impacted, the death toll is already nearing 100 (the majority of these in North Carolina), and millions will be without power for the foreseeable future.

We invite you to join us in praying for western North Carolina, the southeastern United States, and all of the communities impacted by this storm. As Billy Graham said, “We can change the course of events if we go to our knees in believing prayer.”

  • Pray for God’s protection for those who are missing, injured, and medically fragile.
  • Pray for God’s provision for those who have lost their homes or livelihoods
  • Pray for God’s comfort for those who lost friends, or family members.
  • Pray for God’s guidance for community leaders and emergency responders as they navigate the coming weeks and months.
  • Pray for the Christians who are volunteering, and that their work will be a visible testimony of God’s love and provision.

If you feel led to help support those affected by the storm, we encourage you to give to Samaritan’s Purse and follow them for any additional needs.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

~ 1 Corinthians 1:3-4
