In a move to preserve the sanctity of human life, the North Carolina Senate passed Senate Bill 405—Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act this afternoon, by a vote of 28-21 along party lines.

SB 405 now moves to the House of Representatives, where it must pass through several committees before coming to the House floor for a vote.
