November 2, 2010 General Election:

On November 2, 2010, North Carolina voters will go to the polls to choose which candidates will represent them in federal, state and local government. In order to promote civic responsibility and to help voters better understand where the candidates stand on critically important issues, the North Carolina Family Policy Council is pleased to provide this impartial, nonpartisan 2010 Election Voter Guide.

To produce the Voter Guide, the Council sent questionnaires by certified mail to 550 candidates during this year's election season and compiled 413 general election candidates and their responses to the Council's questionnaire. The candidates' responses to the questionnaires are compiled on this Web site and may include additional comments and explanations provided by the candidates.

This 2010 General Election Voter Guide will be available both online and in print through the election on November 2, 2010. Print versions of the 2010 General Election Voter Guide are available in multiples of 100 for distribution by churches, civic groups, and other organizations by contacting the North Carolina Family Policy Council at (919) 807-0800.

How To Get The Most Out Of This Web Site:

  1. Some offices in North Carolina are elected statewide (U.S. Senate, N.C. Supreme Court, and N.C. Court of Appeals), while others are elected by district (U.S. House, N.C. Superior Court, N.C. Senate, and N.C. House).
  2. To determine your voting districts refer to your voter registration card or visit the State Board of Elections Web site.
