North Carolina Family Minute Begins

Special Report - August 11, 2008
The North Carolina Family Policy Council today began production of a new news feature, "North Carolina Family Minute." Written and voiced by Bob Ditmer, long-time announcer for Focus on the Family's "Family News in Focus," the update will provide radio listeners with information on the latest public policy news of interest to North Carolina families. Drawing from the daily news stories posted on the ncfamily.org website, the "North Carolina Family Minute" will also explore some of the issues in the policy analysis that is found in "North Carolina Family," the bi-monthly magazine of the council.

Daily shows are provided to radio stations at no charge. If you miss a show on the radio, the update will be available daily at ncfamily.org beginning today. In the coming weeks, we will also provide a page listing the radio stations that will be running the show. Right now, listeners are encouraged to check out the show on the website and alert their local stations to the shows availability.

Bill Brooks, president of the North Carolina Family Policy Council said: "We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with such a seasoned professional as Bob Ditmer. Millions of radio listeners are already familiar with Bob and he brings tremendous credibility to this expansion of our radio efforts. We are always glad to find new ways to serve the citizens of North Carolina, and this one-minute show will be a tremendous help."
